Planner
What this chapter is for
The planner is the only part of the app that looks forward. Everything else records what happened. Here you decide what should happen — and afterwards you see whether it did.
The planner is optional. You can use the app fully without ever creating an appointment; it then stays a logbook. If you want to commit to a week, this is where the frame for it lives.
The calendar
There are two views: the week with its seven days, and the month as an overview. Dots on the days show their state — planned, completed, or trained on that day. Tapping a day shows its entries below.
For every entry you can see at a glance where it stands relative to today: due today, due in a few days, missed, or last completed on a particular day. That is the planner’s actual job — not the calendar, but the distance between intention and reality.
Planning a session
An entry needs little: a name and a date. Two things can be added.
A linked workout. Link the appointment to one of your workouts and you can open and start it straight from the entry on training day. Without a link the entry stays a note — which is fine too, for a swim or a run the app does not log.
A repeat. Instead of creating every appointment by hand, pick a pattern:
| Pattern | Meaning |
|---|---|
| None | A single appointment |
| Weekly | Every week on the same weekday |
| Every two weeks | Every other week on the same weekday |
| Monthly by date | Always the same day of the month, the third say |
| Monthly by weekday | “Every first Monday”, for instance |
The two monthly patterns are not the same thing: the third falls on a different weekday each month, the first Monday on a different date each month. Which one fits depends on what you steer by — the calendar or your week.
Ticking off and tidying up
Completed sessions get ticked off; a tick can be taken back. Recurring entries carry a symbol of their own.
When you delete a recurring session, the app asks what you mean:
- Delete this one date — the series carries on, this single day drops out.
- Delete this and all future ones — the series ends here, the past stays as it is.
Important, and intentional: a deleted appointment takes nothing with it. Neither your workout nor the sets you trained that day disappear. The planner manages intentions, not training data.
When something does not work
- There is no workout to choose when planning. Then there is none yet. Create one under Training first; it will be available to link afterwards.
- An appointment sits on a day that does not suit you. Moving is not a separate operation: in a series you delete the single date and create the replacement, and a one-off appointment you simply edit.
How it fits together
Linked workouts come from Training. Your next planned session appears on the start screen, so you see it without opening the planner. Whether you actually trained in a given week is answered not by the planner but by the dashboard.
